Who we are

We are a small group of local travel operators who grew up in Jaisalmer. Our families have run guesthouses, jeeps and camel safaris here for years, and we know the town lane by lane, from the havelis inside the fort to the camps at Sam and Khuri. The hotels, camps, drivers and guides we use are people we know personally.

Why book with us directly

Large booking websites add their own commission to every room and tour. We work directly with the hotels, camps, drivers and guides in our own network, so that cost does not reach you. In most cases our price is lower than what you will find online for the same room or service. If you find a lower genuine price for the same thing, show us and we will do our best to match it.

Local knowledge matters as much as price. We know which rooms have the fort view, which camps are quiet after dinner, which drivers are careful on the Sam road, and when the dunes are crowded. That is what you are paying for.

You deal with one person on WhatsApp who answers for everything, before you arrive and while you are here. If you need something travel-related that is not on this site, ask us anyway.

What we promise

• A clear price before you pay, in writing, with what is included and what is not. Nothing is added later.
• No hidden fees. Tolls, entry tickets and taxes are listed if they are extra.
• Places we would send our own family to. We stop working with anyone who lets guests down.
• Help on the spot. If something is not right during your stay, call us and we will sort it out.

How booking works

1. Send your dates and what you would like. It is free and there is no obligation.
2. We reply with a written quote, usually within a few hours.
3. Confirm with a deposit by UPI, bank transfer or a secure payment link. You receive a written confirmation.
4. Pay the balance as stated on your quote. We stay in touch through your trip.

Payment and cancellation details are in our terms and cancellation policy. We never ask for card numbers on WhatsApp or by phone.

Not an official website

Jaisalmer.net.in is a private, local travel business. We are not connected to the Government of Rajasthan, the Archaeological Survey of India, the forest department, the Border Security Force or any monument trust. Official tickets and permits are sold only by those authorities, at their counters or official portals (for Rajasthan Tourism: tourism.rajasthan.gov.in).

How we keep this site accurate

Fees, timings, distances and typical prices live in one data file that every page reads from, so the site never contradicts itself. Figures are approximate, marked with “about” or “~”, and checked against official counters and notices. Fees, timings and prices on this site are approximate and can change without notice — please confirm before you travel. If you spot something out of date, please tell us; we correct it quickly.

The hotel directory lists places to stay across Jaisalmer, not only those in our network. Ask us about any of them and we will tell you honestly whether we can get you a better rate. Reviews on this site come only from travellers, and we never invent or edit ratings. Listings marked “Sample listing” show the kind of places we work with while details are confirmed.
