How to choose

  • One night or two? Most first-timers spend one night near the fort and one in a camp at Sam or Khuri. See Sam vs Khuri.
  • Inside the fort is atmospheric but has steep lanes and no cars; it is not for heavy bags or limited mobility.
  • Star class here is the class the hotel lists with booking sites. Havelis with few rooms are often unrated but very good.
